Default a cold blooded murderer

Ross Brymer was nothing but a coward and a cold blooded murderer, and I hope his soul burns in hell for eternity.
Now, Oscar Bonavena was a brave man as his record shows, and he deserved better end than dyaing by a bullet fired by a coward from 30 yards away.

Strong statements, it has been years since this happened. What is your take on what happened?

Strong words calling Ross a coward.

The way I heard the story from those involved was as follows:

Joe was pissed at Oscar for fucking Sally (Oscar was referred to as 'Rocky' by those who told me the story.). So at the moment in question, Rocky goes out back and leans against a Ford Mustang and Joe pulled the trigger on a 30-06 from behind. End of one problem, and the beginning of a new one.

Ross was called to help clean up the mess. Yes, called because he wasn't there. Ross ends up cleaning the whole thing up by copping to the hit for Joe. Ross did Joe's time, and Joe paid him well for it.

Thats why Joe was out there telling the story of what happened leading up to all that. He was selling the story to keep his ass out of the can.
